Iuri trouxe um relato, na verdade a perspectiva sobre o uso de Software Livre, em Fortaleza, durante uma apresentação do Mapa da Cultura, em Fortaleza, no mês de julho:

 

Pois um desses caras da prefeitura de Fortaleza pegou o microfonepegou o microfone (tarde demais pra mim retrucar) e foi falar mal da prefeitura de São Paulo porque eles usam software proprietário na educação e ele acha que "isso é um retrocesso"!leia mais >>

Diego Chaves, 29 anos, mora em São Paulo e trabalha com programação em Java. "Desde 2002, possuo algum envolvimento com ativismo social, sendo que atualmente estou mais focado na área de educação em cursinho comunitário e no Centro Acadêmico da faculdade, porém historicamente meu ativismo se deu mais através do Movimento Humanista, ajudando na estruturação de grupos (escolas, bairros) que realizavam intervenções de acordo com a dinâmica de cada região e principalmente dos interesses dos membros do grupo", comenta.

No começo de 2006, Diego passou a assinar a lista metarec e já trocou "algumas palavras com o Brás, o Guima e o Slave, pessoalmente ou por e-mail". Nesses dias, e em meio as discussões de apropriações toscas "do que é metareciclagem" pipocando na Rede, Diego trouxe seu relato do Encontro Nacional de Pedagogia, que rolou em Belo Horizonte, mais especificamente sobre a mesa Mídia e Educação com Henrique Garcia Sobreira (UERJ), quando a palavra metareciclagem apareceu mais de uma vez:
