Beat Brasilis e metareciclagens

Outro dia, Vitor trouxe um folder da Revista Beat Brasilis na lista. Vitor é de Rio das Ostras (RJ), tem 40 anos, trabalha como técnico ambiental, gosta de desenhar e escrever. E deu uma entrevista para o MutGamb dizendo o quanto esse núcleo influenciou sua produção

 

Como surgiu a ideia da revista?

Vitor: A história foi contada com detalhes aqui. Mas posso resumir assim: éramos um bando de desconhecidos que gostavam de ficar criticando uns aos outros numa comunidade do orkut que girava em torno do movimento literário norte-americano Beatnik. Ou Movimento Beat. Tem uns cinco anos isso. Até que aos poucos fomos nos cansando de competir mutuamente para ver quem era o mais sagaz e intelectual e começamos a pensar em criar alguma coisa com aquela energia criativa toda. Então montamos dois blogs que culminaram na Revista Beatbrasilis.

O medieval mundo da Apple

Durante essa semana li um compartilhamento sobre os salários de cargos na Apple. Na verdade, são salários do lado hype da Apple. Marcelo Braz trouxe um link à lista, da linha de produção da Foxconn, na China, onde são produzidos os eletrônicos da Apple - uma história bem diferente e nada hipster de se contar.

 

Em maio de 2011, um acidente na planta industrial de Chengdu voltou a lançar luzes sobre a Foxconn. Um galpão onde iPhones são polidos explodiu, matando duas pessoas e ferindo outras 16. As razões do incêndio não foram esclarecidas, mas a principal suspeita é que o excesso de partículas de alumínio suspensas no ar tenha facilitado uma combustão espontânea. “Se há tanto metal no ar a ponto de gerar explosões, imagine o impacto que isto tem na saúde dos trabalhadores e dos vizinhos das fábricas”, questiona Debby, da SACON.
