Novembro começa.

Começa com o adiamento da votação do Marco Civil na Internet.

Retrocesso? Fixação nos modelos passados?

Ou o passado é evaporado com o tempo, de forma mais sutil, em pequenas pílulas? Como no caso dos atóis que foram sinônimo de bombas nucleares, de destruição, e hoje são alimentados por energia solar (via Bicarato):

Assim como um projeto que Vilmar compartilhou, que nasceu como desdobramento das ações #metarec durante a Semana Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia, em Brasília. Trata-se do projeto Água Livre, uma mini-estação de tratamento de água feita em código aberto:

O Webert e o Refael fizeram uma oficina de montagem da placa de arduíno, o Severino. Algumas pessoas participaram, entre elas o Douglas, que já foi hackeando a parada e criando coisas.

Código livre e meio ambiente.

Qual futuro seria possível criar com caminhos livres?

Isaac esteve em Paudalho/PE, a 47km do Recife, e compartilhou sua percepção por aqui:

A região é marcada por duas atividades principais: monocultura de cana-de-açúcar (para produção de etanol e açúcar) e fabricação de artigos cerâmicos (olarias).A cultura da cana é bastante presente. Crianças ficam esperando completar a idade certa, para que possam ir trabalhar, tornando-se mais uma engrenagem da moenda.

Felipe Cabral pediu colaborações para o Floresta Vermelha, via Catarse:

Eles ministraram oficinas no Centro Cultural da Espanha em São Paulo, falaram do projeto e já divulgaram um vídeo massa falando sobre isso e mostrando o processo. Esse curta metragem é parte de uma pesquisa em torno da câmera open hardware que eles estão testando, isto é, os avanços e descobertas que ocorrendo vão redundar em muitas documentações para quem quiser se enveredar por esses caminhos.

Isaac perguntou na lista se alguém já havia testado ou se conhecia o MakeyMakey, segundo os próprios inventores (que pediram $ aqui), trata-se de "um meio para transformar objetos cotidianos em touchpads e, assim combiná-los com a internet".

Se eu entendi bem o projeto, acho que da pra algo bem parecido com isso daí desmontando um joystick desses estilo playstation USB de 15 reais. Daí usa o objeto [hid] no puredata pra empacotar os dados pra outros protocolos. Fiz algo parecido nas oficinas do Toscolino, na UFRJ, em 2010, a gente desmontava joysticks pra fazer guitarrinhas:

Propomos algumas reflexões sobre pontos de convergência e dissenso entre práticas dessas redes, uma proposta de superposição de conceitos. (via LabSurLab)

Muitas pessoas, coletivos, redes, orgs, ings...estão falando na construção e no desenvolvimento de drones, para diversos fins, que poderiam passear em terras, águas ou ares.

Raquel Rennó compartilhou drones marinhos que atuam como ferramenta de intervenção para recuperação de áreas degradadas.

Alguém já tem essa visão/delírio recorrente: Sobrevoando a cidade para mapear a disponibilidade de redes, aí pousa e abre uma mesh onde encontrou uma concentração grande. Não precisa ser um ornitóptero. Mas onde um drone qualquer achar, mais disponibilidade de redes. Ou seja, sobreposição de alcance de redes. Ele pousa em algum telhado e abre uma mesh (rede local) aberta. Talvez comece a quebrar as senhas logo que pouse.
