Uma indefinida e corrosiva pontada de ansiedade concentrada numa janela aquietada de um desses mensageiros instantâneos. Durante a espera, a pessoa sente-se insegura: teria ofendido o interlocutor, cometido uma gafe no mundo das mensagens instantâneas ou de alguma forma estragado sua auto-apresentação cuidadosamente elaborada, até agora, graças aos milagres do meio textual? A pessoa deve ter pelo menos uma vaga consciência de que está sendo levemente paranoico e dizer a si mesmo coisas como “ele provavelmente só se afastou do teclado” ou “eu sei que ela está no trabalho agora e talvez tenha parado de responder porque está ocupada”. 

Esse sentimento de ansiedade deve vir à tona somente após um breve lapso (de 30 segundos a 1 minuto) no ritmo da conversa e a pessoa deve dizer a si mesma “foi só 1 minuto, não se preocupe”. A pessoa pode ponderar sobre suas conversas anteriores com o mesmo ou outros interlocutores na tentativa de avaliar se a pausa é “normal” ou indica algum sentimento. A pessoa pode ter a frequência cardíaca aumentada e experimentar uma sensação de despersonalização e, enquanto observa a tela com uma expressão fora de foco, ter pensamentos catastróficos sobre seu romance, sua capacidade de ser amado no futuro ou seus principais defeitos. leia mais >>

Há um ano, o prefeito de São Paulo, Gilberto Kassab, chamou a imprensa para anunciar um novo projeto. Lançou o Renova Centro – Programa de Habitação e Requalificação Urbana. 

A ideia era simples e muito boa: transformar 53 prédios abandonados do centro da capital paulista em 2.500 moradias populares. Custo total de R$ 400 milhões. Prazo, três anos. 

Naquele 4 de fevereiro de 2010, ele mesmo assinou um decreto iniciando o processo de desapropriação dos 53 imóveis, todos escolhidos com base em um estudo da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da USP. Ociosos há décadas. Era reformar e ocupar. 

Um ano se passou. Até agora, porém, nenhum foi ocupado. Nenhuma das unidades habitacionais prometidas foi entregue. Com o projeto andando a passos lentos, o prazo dado por Kassab para a conclusão das obras parece até já ter sido esquecido pelo secretário da Habitação, Ricardo Pereira Leite. leia mais >>

Soluções inteligentes

Imagine-se morando num apartamento studio (vulgo quitinete) ou mesmo de um e dois dormitórios, no centro histórico de São Paulo. 

Mais. Este imóvel, de algum momento entre 1950 a 1980, com sua arquitetura preservada e original, elevadores super reforçados, de tecnologia sueca, e totalmente adaptado nos padrões mundiais da acessibilidade…. 

Parece coisa de burguês, mas tudo isso está planejado para pertencer aos felizardos de baixa renda que morarem em um dos 53 edifícios do Programa de Habitação e Requalificação do Centro – o Renova Centro, da Cohab-SP. 

O projeto foi discutido nesta quinta-feira (3 de fevereiro) pelo secretário Municipal de Habitação, Ricardo Pereira Leite, com a presença de diversos representantes da sociedade civil. Leite pontuou algumas diferenças do programa, idealizado pela administração Gilberto Kassab, para fugir das morosas, intermináveis e por vezes ineficientes desapropriações do passado. 

O “super elevador” é uma delas. Seu sistema mais reforçado, simples e anti-vandalismo visa dispensar a manutenção constante e, consequentemente, a taxa de condomínio. Segundo o secretário, sua licitação já está no forno.leia mais >>

Rede de Comunicação Periférica em fase de implementação

Fazer com que as periferias urbanas sejam também vozes ativas na sociedade, reverberando o seu ponto de vista. Este é, desde o começo, o principal objetivo do Conexão Periférica – este projeto que você confere aqui no blog. A partir do programa de rádio, exibido pela UFMG Educativa, estamos em vias de expandir a nossa atuação, convocando os diversos “atores periféricos” para a colaboração horizontal. 

Um desses projetos é a Rede de Comunicação Periférica. A equipe percebeu uma necessidade de inserir os atores sociais no processo de produção do programa. Percebemos que a grande mídia costuma “invisibilizar” as periferias, conferindo-lhes uma interpretação pré-formatada – que beira o preconceito em alguns casos.

Com um ano de projeto, o Conexão tem ido além do rádio. Há o blog, com notícias e programas já exibidos; Twitter e Facebook; e participação em ciclos formativos, como seminários e eventos – o Seminário do Juventudes Urbanas, no ano passado, é um bom exemplo. A Rede vai:
