Emergindo das entranhas

O dia de trabalho foi intenso. Terminamos a última oficina de MetaReciclagem de um projeto que estou coordenando no acessasp. O projeto está sendo legal. A idéia é montar uma ponte metarecicleira no PEFI - Parque Fontes do Ipiranga, local onde era a FEBEM. Contribuir para a mudança, para a transformação do local pela apropriação e replicação da tecnologia é muito importante.

Tudo isso, muitas vezes, passa batido. Bem, no MetaReciclagem dá para fazer coisas muito legais. Experimentar conceitos, brincar, conversar, trocar links, blá blá blá... Gosto de pensar que aproximamos do artesanato. Aliás, penso nos hackers como artesãos da tecnologia. As vezes, são artistas. E, de certa forma, o metareciclagem ousou em fazer arte. Fazemos monstros cibernéticos, computadores pelados, pendurados e pintados. Outras pessoas também se colam nessa inspiração. Nas oficinas percebemos que é possível criar relações que possibilitam entrar pelos meandros da rede. Encontrar os atalhos para outro futuro. Acho isso duca!

Bem, cabe explicar que Metareciclagem não é sobre reciclagem de computadores, não é apenas sobre software, nem sobre hardware. Desta forma, eu tento separar o que é "O metareciclagem", ou aquilo que é entendido pela imprensa, por parte do poder público, ou por quem não quer pensar muito sobre isto, daquilo que é "A Metareciclagem".leia mais >>

a oficina do rio e espírito santo foi minha primeira oportunidade de "praticar" cultura digital. acabou sendo uma experiência de profunda aprendizagem e reflexão, não somente sobre técnicas ou práticas específicas, mas também sobre todo o processo da cultura digital, dos pontos de cultura. foi uma semana de altos e baixos, de frustrações e de grandes alegrias e euforias, com um saldo positivo no final. em inglês diria que foi uma montanha russa (rollercoaster) mas não sei se a analogia funciona em português.

metareciclagem

eu passei a maior parte da semana na parte da metareciclagem. foi um processo bem permeável, ou seja, os pensamentos que surgiram não foram limitados ao espaço da oficina. por exemplo, na terça feira fui pegar ônibus para ir para a leopoldina e acabei subindo no número 472 na praia de botafogo, destino final 'triagem'! depois peguei esse ônibus todos os dias. na noite de terça para quarta, tive um sonho que estava ajudando a montar um laboratório com computadores reciclados. e de fato, estava *tentando*... no sábado, indo para leopoldina, vi um mercado de pulgas (coisas usadas) acontecendo debaixo do viaduto da praça xv e notei que tinha várias pessoas vendendo peças de computadores, como fontes, teclados, placas etc. se tivesse passado pelo mesmo caminho uma semana antes acho que não teria notado isso, nem reconhecido as peças!leia mais >>

Foi uma das maiores oficinas realizadas durante o projeto, inspirada pela experiência positiva durante o Fórum Social Mundial de 2005. Centenas de pessoas estiveram presentes. Um ônibus foi pegando a equipe desde São Paulo, passando por Brasília e chegando a Teresina. A MetaReciclagem virou uma metodologia, não mais um grupo. Mais de 100 pessoas participam da lista de discussão, mas a idéia de reapropriação e desconstrução da tecnologia vão além. Influenciaram os pontos de cultura do Minc, os implementadores do GESAC, do Minicom, e ação de diversos grupos, ongs e ativistas. Não temos números exatos (e não nos interessa ter), mas as discussões e presenças continuam bem interessantes. Meia dúzia de espaços em diversos locais do Brasil se denominam espaços de MetaReciclagem, e temos um centro de referência em São Paulo, na galeria Olido, ali no centro. A MetaReciclagem existe há três anos, e nesse meio-tempo já montamos mais de uma dúzia de telecentros, participamos de dezenas de eventos, mandamos dois integrantes para uma residência de dois meses na Índia, demos oficinas relacionadas a software livre para mais de mil pessoas, criamos pelo menos duas distribuições de linux, ajudamos a desenvolver projetos e programas institucionais e de governo. Mas isso interessa menos que entender que mantivemos um nível acelerado de inovação e reinvenção, nossos objetivos mais caros.leia mais >>
