Máquinas: ter ou fazer?

Tati Prado levantou a questão do uso do Asus Transformer (com a dock) na transferência de arquivos pesados via cabo para desktop, e surgiram interações que foram além-resolução do problema...

As coisas são assim porque o fluxo e comodidade dos mercados ainda está em sua maioria atrelada às estratégias das indústrias, que procuram justamente desarticular alternativas, sempre, a todo momento, com a programação da obsolescência percebida e planejada e com a inviabilização de desenvolvimento para uma série de coisas que não seja dentro de suas regras. Triste mundo real.

Quanto à lógica dos mercados, é realmente uma coisa perversa. Outro dia uma amiga ia comprar um netbook simples, pra usar pra texto e email, nada mais, e tava sem grana. Sugeri que escolhesse uma máquina que não viesse com windows e ela achou uma que vinha com o mandriva. Deu pau três vezes nos primeiros dois meses de uso. Pergunta se alguém do suporte conseguia resolver? E aquela epopéia pra acionar a garantia e fazer valer a assistência técnica? A conclusão, pra quem nunca usou Software Livre é a mais óbvia: isso aí nunca mais. Difícil saber que esse é o modus operandi e ainda se consegue fazer muito pouco contra...
