Pontos de Cultura em HD

O LabCulturaViva abriu quatro editais pensando em produções para serem exibidas em canais de TV aberta, sobretudo a TV Brasil, por isso exigem produtos em HD:

 

A exigência do HDV é apenas por conta desse aspecto técnico da operação das TVs. O formato de captação é livre, a exigência é apenas na finalização do material. Agora que os filmes documentários do primeiro Edital estão ficando prontos, independente dessa discussão, dá para ter uma excelente ideia da potência de produção dos Pontos de Cultura, e a importância que essa produção tenha visibilidade massiva em todo o país.

Definitivamente esse edital não é para Pontos de Cultura que utilizam softwares livres.

Metareciclando sustentabilidades

Na última semana os temas sustentabilidade e compartilhamento de projetos apareceram bastante na lista MetaReciclagem.

Fabs linkou a Appropedia, um wiki de soluções sustentáveis colaborativas utilizando apropriação crítica das tecnologias. Gama, do Puraqué, relatou trechos sobre a primeira reunião do projeto Mapa Colaborativo das Plantas Medicinais, que está sendo desenvolvido na Escola Rotary e pretende valorizar a tecnologia e a sabedoria popular.

Felipe Cabral trouxe as experiências das carroças tunadas, e Regis a inserção do Bailux no Mappa. Compartilhamentos que sincronizam com a proposta de Andres Burbano, disponível na plataforma do CCE, sobre Ciência Cidadã.

Porém, a thread mais "popular" foi a do Fabbri que abriu a discussão sobre como fazer "Janelas Verdes". Felipe Fonseca trouxe os links Refarm The City e das Terras Livres que ampliaram a conversa:

O radinho metareciclado de Isaac

Isaac compartilhou na lista mais uma experiência que teve com o Centro de Recondicionamento de Computadores do Recife (CRC):

 

Me chamaram para olhar um brinquedinho - que ainda não tem nome e nem pretensão. São apenas dois rádios que achamos e queremos arrumar algo para eles, estamos tentando fazer funcionar. Fizemos uns testes e ele tá transmitindo, com muito chiado. Postei na lista para ver se alguém tinha ideia de antena melhor. Eles estão usando duas antenas de 3 dbi, parecida com essa, que vieram de um decodificador de tv digital. Será que tá chiando por causa disso? Ainda não sabemos o que fazer com esses rádios, mas queremos brincar.

 

Isaac comentou que existe interesse em criar um tutorial para replicar o radinho.

Bolsa de Verão para Mulheres em NY

Em uma iniciativa casada, a Hacker School e a Esty anunciaram uma bolsa de estudos para mulheres que desenvolvam trabalhos de engenharia. São dez bolsas de 5 mil doláres cada uma para participarem do programa de Verão 2012, em Nova Iorque.

 

Esperamos que esse seja o primeiro de muitos passos para incentivar mais mulheres.
